Myla came for a visit - sans Mommy. Don came for a short visit and brought Myla along, but Maisie had a class and had to stay home. We got them for the day on Friday and crammed as much into that day was we could. We started out with a visit with Grandpa & Grandma Metcalf (until Malan sent a text that summed it up quite nicely - "hurry up" - and we had to keep moving.)
After picking up Malan, we dropped in at Grandma Connie's just to set up house for the afternoon. Then it was on to lunch (with Rachel & Kailie joining us too) and then to my office to show Myla off. She made the rounds quickly and had to show everyone her belly button upon request from me....it's so cute to see her work so hard to find it, but she knows. And then every time she'd tip over (which was frequent because she tries to run) she'd say "oh no!" Dang this little Peewee is adorable....I just can't get enough of her.
After an hour and a half nap for Daddy & Myla, we set up the swimming pool. No noe else was prepared to get in and swim with Myla but me. And we had a grand ole' time. I provided the warm water from the house and used the bucket to make waterfalls for her. The aunts, uncles and cousins stopped by to watch and visit with her and Don. After all the playing we went out to dinner before taking them back to Gooding.
It was a short day, but a good day. Now I'm counting the days (21 of them) before I get to fly to North Carolina and spend 10 days at her house.
